Melanie Hodson
Hello! I’m Melanie, an AASECT (American Association of Sexual Educator, Counselors, and Therapist) and Ministry trained Coach/Educator.
The uniqueness of my background and experience is vast and spans a wide variety of genres. I have been a RID certified Sign Language Interpreter for 20 plus years and during that time, pursued my Masters in Human Behavior and my ASSECT training. With my Christian Ministry training and over 30 plus years as a Christian, I am excited to be able to provide services with a very special approach keeping God and his word at the center of everything. I can provide the needed services in English or ASL (American Sign Language). Most of my life I have been a very active researcher of sexuality: practices, clinical explanations, anatomy, toys and of course the human connection that goes along with intimacy. Talking about sex and everything related, has never been taboo for me. However, during my interactions I often wondered why no one else was willing to discuss anything openly, that’s when I realized, most people were just not confident in what they knew. Over the years, because of my openness and willingness to talk about sex, people naturally gravitated to me seeking advice and counsel, therefore my decision to pursue this path in life was very organic.
